Hedgehog hardship

Poor little hedgehog, he faces so many challenges in life, but we can make things a lot easier for him. Creating a nice habitat for him to live in, putting out cat food, not using slug poison and being careful with your strimmer is a start…oh and of course check your bonfire!

The other night I saw
The biggest slug I’ve seen
It was glowing, bright green
My friend cried, ‘STOP!’
‘Don’t eat it!’ He said
‘That slug is poisonous,
If you eat it you’re DEAD!’

Sleeping in the grass
But the grass was getting thinner
What’s that noise?
I hope it’s not a strimmer?
The noise got closer
I yelled ‘YIKES!’
A strimmer strimmed past
And almost strimmed my spikes!
